Hi, Iām Corinne
I am a therapist and singer/songwriter living in Portland, Oregon. My first love was singing and writing songs which led me to Santa Fe, New Mexico where I received an undergraduate degree in Musical Theater from Santa Fe University of Art and Design. Studying the human condition as an actor piqued my curiosity about psychology and my own personal challenges. I was drawn to participating in my own therapy which deepened my desire to become a therapist myself. So I returned back to my home state of Oregon to obtain a Masters Degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis and Clark College in Portland. My winding journey between the world of the arts and the world of psychotherapy have culminated into my unique, creative approach to therapy. I am currently in the process of becoming a certified Voice Movement Therapist by the International Association of Voice Movement Therapy. I am also participating in an intensive Somatic Psychotherapy training course in Contemporary Orgone Therapy (Reichian therapy). My clinical work experience has included individual and group therapy for an Adult Intensive Outpatient program at a psychiatric clinic, individual therapy for transitional aged young adults with co-occurring mental health issues, working in community mental health for Trillium Family Services as a School based therapist providing individual and family therapy with youth. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon (C6375).
